"In fact, we are able to win such projects at the time everything is still on the drawing board,” explains Patrik Lowie. “The trick is to simulate and visualise all possible situations beforehand. Looking at this from a distance, one can hardly imagine how complex it all is. But it must be done so as to be able to convince all stakeholders that the solutions that we suggest will actually work. The customer must contract insurance, the competent authorities must issue permits... As such, a considerable part of our job is looking forward – thinking everything through and planning ahead, in line with Jan De Nul’s Imagine Think Act philosophy. We take this very seriously and benefit a lot from the synergies among the various divisions of Jan De Nul."
